Please note: Negative results indicate the absence or undetectable levels of circulating venom specific-IgE antibodies. These results do not preclude future clinical hypersensitivity to an insect sting.
Interpretive
Due to the rise and fall of circulating specific IgE antibodies to insect venom, blood samples for testing with venom ImmunoCAP should be collected from 2-3 weeks up to 6 months after an insect sting.
