Acute specimen must arrive in laboratory as soon as possible after draw. Convalescent specimen may be submitted in a timely manner.

Container/Tube: Gold-top serum gel or red top

Specimen Volume: 2 mL

Additional Information: Michigan Department of Community Health will forward specimen to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Forms: Dengue Case Investigation Report form; physician must complete and submit this form in Special Instructions
