Test Code FLAC Lactoferrin, Stool (replaces Stool WBC's)

Important Note

This test measures lactoferrin, a glycoprotein component of neutrophilic granules in leukocytes. Testing for fecal lactoferrin is much more sensitive than examination for fecal leukocytes (Fecal WBC’s) as it does not require intact cells for detection.

Note: Breastfeeding may cause false positives.
