RT-PCR

Intended Use

The SARS-CoV-2 test is a rapid, real-time RT-PCR test intended for the qualitative detection of nucleic acid from the SARS-CoV-2 in nasopharyngeal swab submitted in Viral Transport Media VTM collected from individuals suspected of COVID-19 by their healthcare provider.

Turnaround time

Results obtained usually within 2-3 hours after receipt of specimen in the laboratory under normal circumstances.  If repeat testing is needed delays may result.
