Container/Tube: Culturette swab

Specimen Volume: Swab

Collection Instructions:

1. Specimen source is required.

2. Immediately place swab in sterile transport tube to
ensure specimen preservation.
3. Label tube with patient’s full name, date of birth, date
and time of collection, and source of specimen.

Additional
Information: Indicate “screen for
Corynebacterium diphtheriae” on request form.
